The previous wars in different parts of Mindanao have led to massive displacement of villagers. They are known as internally displaced persons (IDPs) or locally known as bakwit.
This is a collection of my photographs that I’ve captured over the years of covering the displacement in different parts of Mindanao. Although the bakwits have already returned to their villages, many have yet to fully recover from both physical and invisible damages of war.
