On June 28 , 2011 ,evening until early morning , flashflood hit five barangays in Davao City and left 30 making it the worst flood to hit the city in terms of loss of lives.
One of the worst hit village is the Arroyo Compound in Matina Pangi, where 17 of the total casualties were from this village.
