In 2010, dry spell hit Mindanao and damaged thousands of hectares of agricultural lands.

During that year, I was able to document some of the affected areas in Maguindanao and North Cotabato, more particularly in the villages around the Liguasan Marsh.

Villagers living in the marsh described that the water level had drastically drop due to recurring dry spell.

Now that El Niño phenomenon is here once again, will it be worse than the previous years?
