About 5,000 devotees joined the first Translacion of the Black Nazarene in Tagum City, Davao del Norte on Monday. Fr. Emerson Luego, parish priest of the Sagrado de Corazon, described it as a good start for the religious event.

The five-kilometer procession kicked off at around 5:30a.m. at the Parish of Christ the Eucharistic King to the Sagrado De Corazon Parish in Apokon. The procession lasted for almost two hours.

Luego expects that more devotees will gather in the upcoming events of the Black Nazarene. This replica of the Black Nazarene was stationed in Quiapo before it was brought here on December 3 last year.
