On March 8, oil companies implemented big time fuel price hike of at least P3 for gasoline and over P5 for crude oil.

The devotees were not able to gather for the celebration in the last two years due to quarantine restrictions amid the pandemic.

Established in 1947, the chapel in Piapi is the oldest community of Sto.Nino devotees in the city.

According to the elders, they trace their roots in Cebu and Leyte provinces. Many of them migrated to Davao City even before the World War 2.
