For the first time since he stepped down, former President Rodrigo Duterte speaks to the media in press conference in Davao City on January 6, 2024.
Among the issues Duterte raised in the event was the investigation of Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI), owned by his friend Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
After the press conference, Rodrigo Duterte visited the wake of Archdiocese of Davao Archbisop Emeritus Fernando Capalla at the San Pedro Cathedral.
Duterte said Capalla was one his counselors during his stint as mayor of Davao City. (Read story here)
Capalla, a former CBCP President, passed away on Saturday dawn. He was 89 years old.
