Last May, I was in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato test Huawei’s flasgship phone Pura 70 Pro for this year’s edition of the Earth+Lens project.

This year’s Manila Bulletin’s Earth+Lens features the earth’s best and captivating moments through the lens of a camera. This year’s theme, Motions in Nature, will showcase the movements in nature both its natural flow and element’s motion.

Here are some of the outtakes of my two-day trip in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mindanao.

Good morning, Lake Sebu!

Trying to capture the tilapias as they scarmble for food during feeding time using “Snapshot mode.”

The Snapshot mode is one of the most powerful features of the Huawei Pura 70 Pro, which can freeze almost any of moving subjects.

A view from the middle of the lake with T’boli boatman

While boating around the like, I can’t help but reminisce the beauty of the lake the first time I visited Lake Sebu more than 30 years ago. I could still remember the crystal-clear waters and just a few fish cages on the shores of the lake.

In some shallow parts of the lake, we could still see the sand and rocks at the bottom.
